Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Hypnotherapy and Nutrition

Moya Layton is an experienced cognitive behavioural therapist, hypnotherapist and nutritionist, based in London.
Moya has an action-oriented compassionate approach to psychotherapy and works closely with her clients, to help them identify the beliefs (attitudes, expectations and personal rules) that often cause emotional distress. She then provides a variety of strategies to help clients reformulate their unhealthy beliefs into more sensible, realistic and helpful ones. The ultimate aim of CBT is to enable people to develop a philosophy and approach to life that can increase their effectiveness and happiness, and sense of wellbeing.
Initially trained as a teacher, Moya went on to undertake a degree in nutritional therapy and was awarded the Nutri prize for Clinician of the Year. During her work as a nutritionist she recognized that many issues and symptoms had their roots in dysfunctional thinking and behaviour patterns. This insight led her to undertake a Masters Degree in Rational Emotive Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and extensive training in Hypnotherapy. Moya is uniquely placed to help clients deal successfully with many areas of psychological health, diet and wellbeing. She also specialises in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy for weight loss.
In addition to her private practice she lectures at The College of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies in London and is registered with the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritonal Therapy and the National Hypnotherapy Society.
